⚔️ What is a zine?
A zine is a fan-made, unofficial booklet containing art, stories, or photos centered around a series, theme, or ship.⚔️ What is this zine’s theme?
This zine will focus on a swordsman's journey following the theme of blood, sweat, and tears in the main zine, and heart in the NSFW digital add-on.⚔️ What will each of the themes entail?
[ BLOOD ] will be all about the action.
[ SWEAT ] will include topics such as training, meditation, and sword care.
[ TEARS ] will include topics such as emotions, character lore, motivations, etc.
[ HEART ] will focus on ships and overall NSFW topics such as excessive violence and/or sex.⚔️ Will this zine be strictly SFW?
This zine will be SFW but feature canon levels of violence/sexuality. There will be a NSFW add-on.⚔️ Will there be content restrictions?
The usual content restrictions apply. The main zine will be SFW, so excessive gore, graphic sexual situations, or other sensitive content will not be allowed. However, these topics will be allowed in the NSFW add-on.⚔️ How many contributors are will you be accepting?
25 artists, 5 writers, and 3 merch artists (not including guests)⚔️ What is the age requirement to apply?
We ask that all applicants be 18+ at the time they submit an application.⚔️ Will this zine be for profit or for charity?
This zine will be a 50/50 split between for-profit and for-charity. We will be compiling a list of possible charities and hosting a poll at a later date to determine what charity we'll be donating to!⚔️ Will ships be allowed?
Ships will only be allowed in the NSFW add-on.⚔️ Can I apply for more than one role?
Yes! Please specify on your application(s) which role you would prefer to be chosen for. However, you will only be selected for one role if accepted.⚔️ Will this zine be physical or digital?
The main zine will be available physically and digitally, and there will be a NSFW digital add-on available as well.⚔️ What kind of merchandise will there be?
This will be determined by the Interest Check.⚔️ How will contributors be compensated?
Contributors are guaranteed a free digital copy of the zine, and if sales allow, a physical bundle as well.⚔️ Will OCs and xReader be allowed?
No, OCs and xReader will not be allowed.

⚔️ GENERAL ⚔️

- All contributors must be 18 years or older to participate- You must have a Discord account to participate. All communication will be done via Discord.- The zine's theme is planned to be monochromatic with an accent color of your choice (examples)- Merch is exempt from this color palette

⚔️ ARTISTS ⚔️

- Applicants must provide 3 samples of completed pieces. One must have a full background.- Some examples of what the mod team is looking for (not mandatory, but recommended!):
(1) Dynamic or action pieces
(2) Monotone or tricolor pieces
(3) Black and white pieces
(4) Pieces with an interesting perspective
(5) Wood block style Japanese inspired art- One Piece samples are preferred but not required.⚔️Applicants will be judged based on anatomy, color, background, overall composition, and pitch/concept.⚔️ZINE EXPECTATIONSArtists are required to submit a single page or spread for their pitched swordsman/woman. The piece may include non-swordsmen characters, but the swordsman/men must be the focus.

⚔️ MERCH ARTISTS ⚔️

- Applicants must provide 3 samples of completed pieces that could be used for merch pieces.- At least one piece should be a merch piece that is ready for production.- Merch samples (physical or digital) are preferred but not required.⚔️Applicants will be judged based on anatomy, color, background, overall composition, and pitch/concept.⚔️ZINE EXPECTATIONS- Merch designs should focus on their swordsman/woman of choice.- Create 2-3 merch designs from a list provided by the mod team.

⚔️ WRITERS ⚔️

- Samples are not required to include a One Piece character or setting, but are recommended.- Samples should be no more than 3k each. Samples may be complete or an excerpt of a longer work.
All links must be accessible. Please double check to allow viewing permissions!- All sample pieces must be SFW. NSFW pieces will not be considered. However, NSFW pieces in a portfolio are permitted as long as they are disclosed and tagged appropriately (e.g., on AO3).- Some examples of what the mod team is looking for (not mandatory, but recommended!):
(1) Action scenes
(2) Character studies
(3) Character-focused pieces and their feelings about the blade⚔️Applicants will be judged on their understanding of pacing, flow, story line, characterization, voice, styling, grammar, spelling, and formatting.⚔️ZINE EXPECTATIONS- Writers are required to submit one (1) fic about their swordsman/woman of choice. The piece may include non-swordsmen characters, but the swordsman/men must be the focus.- Zine pieces should focus on the following areas:
(1) Action sequences/scenes (or before/after)
(2) Character Studies
(3) Meditation Scenes
(4) Training Scenes- The main focus of written pieces should be the swordsman/swordswoman with their sword.- Zine piece should have a maximum word count of 1.5k
